I frequently travel by plane. The worst part about it was dealing with the itineraries. I used to painstakingly enter the information about each reservation I'd made into my calendar (I use iCal for the Mac) and set up reminders about checking in online.

That was before I started using Tripit.com. This handy website makes it easy to organize and share your travel plans. When I book my reservation at a site such as Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, or Southwest.com, I simply forward the confirmation email I get to plans@tripit.com. Tripit pulls the details from the email and creates an attractive, easy-to-read, master itinerary that I can print and email to others.

Mobile device users will appreciate the mobile version of Tripit. You can email short commands to plans.tripit.com, such as "get schedule tomorrow," and Tripit will send you an email with the information.

Tripit's itineraries can be automatically sent to your Google, iCal, or Outlook calendars. If you make a change to your plans on Tripit, it will be reflected in your calendar.

Tripit is fairly new, and frequently adds new features, such as social networking (so you can find out about your friends and colleagues travel plans, and vice versa) and RSS feeds to alert you to changes to your flight. Thanks to Tripit, travel has become less of a headache.
