Putting your photos online for everyone to see is one of the best ways to share your snapshots. Not only can your friends and family quickly see all your photos, they can order or make prints of the ones they like—so they no longer need to bug you about making them copies anymore.
Use a photo sharing service
There are dozens of sites that let you upload and share your images. Flickr, Webshots, Photobucket, Buzznet, Shutterfly, SnapFish, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, and a host of others offer free and low-cost plans, and make it easy to post and organize your online pictures. (Full disclosure: Webshots is owned by CNET Networks.)
Build your own Web album
Another option is to create your own Web site and use it to display your photos. However, one drawback is that your visitors won't be able to easily order prints of their favorite photos. But if that's OK with you, there are lots of free and low-cost tools dedicated to creating Web pages of your photos. For more information, see this tip: Create an online photo album.
Start a photo blog
Another option for posting your photos online is to start a blog dedicated to your photos. Many blog sites allow you to post photo galleries now. This method may be easier than building a Web site. Check out free blogging tools on MySpace, AOL, MSN, Google, and Yahoo.
